Please join us for a half-day workshop focused on gathering input and insight on the opportunities to work collectively as a region to expand and increase the supply of skilled trades to meet future demand.
The program features:
- Keynote address from the Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities
- Presentations on “Our Vision for the Skilled Trades Secretariat” and “Skilled Trades Employment Pathways (S.T.E.P.) Reflections”
- An expert skilled trades panel (featuring Pat Dillon – Trade Council of Ontario, Scott Clarke – Bruce Power, Bruce Smith – Black and McDonald and Mary Jane Bushell – Larsen & Shaw).
- A solution driven roundtable discussion
All focused on how we can do more locally and collectively to ensure our region’s success – ensuring our labour market is in a position to adapt, and respond to, increased employment opportunities in the skilled trades.
