Mayor’s Paver Stone Ceremony in Hanover

HANOVER, ON – Hanover’s Heritage Square includes a number of design elements that reflect our town’s history such as our provincial heritage plaques, Buck’s Crossing, the Labyrinth of Distinction and species of trees used in furniture manufacturing.  In the plaza area around the Labyrinth of Distinction, there are engraved paver stones for each of Hanover’s mayors.  These stones provide a permanent reminder of our Town’s municipal leaders for future generations.

A ceremony will be held on Saturday, July 29, 2017 at 3:00 pm to unveil the mayor’s paver stone for Kathi Maskell.  ‘The permanent reminder of our mayors in Heritage Square is a reflection of our community’s history and the role each of them played in shaping our Town.  Kathi’s leadership and contributions during her two terms as Mayor are most worthy and highly respected’, noted current Mayor Sue Paterson.  Members of the public are welcome to attend the ceremony being held in Heritage Square.
