7th Avenue Water Tower Replacement Schedule 'B' Municipal Class EA

Appendices to Project File Report

Appendices A-E      Appendix F      Appendices G-K

The Town of Hanover has initiated a Municipal Class Environmental Assessment (Class EA) to identify water tower replacement alternatives and a location to replace the 7th Avenue water tower. The new water tower will need to support the Town’s growth and development while providing increased access to potable water to residents and ensure sufficient pressure for fire protection.

This study will be completed in accordance with the planning and design process for ‘Schedule B’ projects as outlined in the Municipal Class EA document (as amended in 2007, 2011, 2015, & 2023) which is approved under the Ontario Environmental Assessment Act. As part of this study, a series of alternative solutions will be developed and evaluated against a broad range of criteria, potential effects to the environment will be assessed, a recommended solution will be determined, and reasonable measures to reduce or avoid adverse effects to the environment will be identified. In addition, a Project File report will be filed for public review and will document the planning and decision-making process.

Consultation is a key component of the Class EA process. Additional information will be made available once alternatives have been identified and evaluated. A Public Information Centre (PIC) will be held to present and obtain feedback.  If you would like to be kept informed about this study by being added to the contact list to receive advance notifications, or to provide feedback, you are encouraged to contact either one of the following study team members:
