The Council of the Town of Hanover has resolved to recognize
September 30th, 2021 at the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.

All Canadians and orders of government have a role to play in reconciliation.

Hanover Council recognizes the importance of commemorating the history
and legacy of residential schools as a vital component of the reconcilation
process.

The Hanover Public Library will be offering programming to recognise the day in various ways, to raise local awareness of the Indigenous issues around Residential Schools and the long lasting damage it caused in families and communities.
