Around June 9th and June 23rd, Hanover homeowners will receive a mailing from Service Line Warranties of Canada (SLWC) about homeowners' responsibility to maintain the service lines connecting their home to Hanover's water and service utilities.
This mailing includes information about an OPTIONAL exterior water or sewer service line repair plan that will help shield homeowners from the financial stock or an unexpected repair. These mailings will have the Hanover logo to indicate there is a partnership in place. The mailing is legitimate and Hanover staff have vetted the program. SLWC and the Town encourage homeowners to call their insurance company to determine if their homeowner's insurance provides this same coverage. Since partnering with SLWC in 2019, there have been eight repairs completed by Hanover homeowners, totalling $17,900.
