NOTICE - Posting of Voters' List

Notice is hereby given that the Voters' List for the Town of Hanover 2022 Municipal Election has been reproduced in accordance with section 23 of the Municipal Elections Act, 1996, and is available for viewing in the Municipal Office at 341 10th Street, Hanover, ON.

Electors are requested to examine the Voters' List to ensure their names and relevant information are correctly shown. If you are not on the Voters' List or the information on the list is incorrect,  you may complete Form EL 15 - Application to Amend the Voters' List, by attending the Clerk's Office prior to Election Day on October 24, 2022. You will be required to provide proof of identity and residence.

Revisions will be taken at the Municipal Office Help Centre, 341 10th Street, Hanover, commencing September 1, 2022 during the following periods: 

• Monday to Friday between the hours of 8:30am to 4:30pm
• Tuesday, October 18 - 4:30pm to 8:00pm
• Saturday, October 22 - 10:00am to 3:00pm
• Monday, October 24 - 8:30am to close of voting at 8:00pm

Qualification of Electors 

A person is entitled to be an elector an an election held in a local municipality if, on voting day (October 24, 2022), the person,

1. resides in the local municipality, is the owner of tenant of land there, or the spouse of such owner or tenant; and
2. is a Canadian Citizen; and
3. is at least 18 years old; and
4. is not prohibited by law from voting in the election.
