Hanover, ON - At the January 7, 2025 Launch Pad Board of
Directors special meeting the motion was passed to dissolve
the corporation effective immediately. Launch Pad is
operated by a dedicated volunteer board of directors who
have not taken this decision lightly but have been faced with
various financial pressures over the past several years that have ultimately contributed to the need to cease operations. Launch Pad, like many not-for-profit organizations in Ontario, is facing challenges of rising costs, limited resources, and regulatory changes. Attracting and retaining talent for operations and instructing programs, managing grants, and maintaining significant donations and donor relations has also contributed to making this difficult decision.

Launch Pad is extremely grateful for the donations extended to assist in the operations of the organization since inception in 2015. Regardless of the outcome, Launch Pad wants to assure those that have provided generous donations that your contributions were significant to the delivery of life and skills development programming for the past 10 years that served over 2,000 young people and formed partnerships with over 30 local businesses.

All programs are cancelled effective January 15, 2025. Payments for programs will be fully reimbursed for the original payment amount, even if the course had already started. Renters will also be notified accordingly and not billed for use of space that didn’t occur.

The Board would like to thank all current and previous board members, volunteers and employees of Launch Pad. Each one of you put your heart and soul into the organization and truly made a difference for the youth of our community. Thank you.
