The Town of Hanover is inviting residents, business owners, and community members to take part in the Downtown Hanover Idea Jam—an interactive evening of creativity, conversation, and community building aimed at shaping the future of Hanover’s downtown.

The Idea Jam is a key milestone in Hanover’s Downtown Vision & Action Plan, a major initiative designed to support long-term economic development, enhance livability, and strengthen the downtown as a destination for residents, visitors, and businesses.
Participants will enjoy food and music while contributing ideas to help:
- Develop bold, practical solutions for the downtown
- Identify actions and next steps to bring these ideas to life
- Build a shared community vision and momentum for the plan
The event offers residents a meaningful role in shaping a vibrant future for downtown. The feedback and real‑life perspectives shared by the community will guide the development of the plan.
Community Connectors Engaging Across Hanover
In addition to the Idea Jam, a team of Community Connectors have been deployed to actively engaging residents, businesses, and community groups across Hanover. These outreach ambassadors are having one‑on‑one conversations, gathering stories, and collecting feedback to ensure the plan reflects the real needs and aspirations of the people who live and work here.
The Community Connectors program is a core part of Hanover’s commitment to inclusive, accessible, and community‑driven planning, ensuring voices from all corners of the community help shape the future of the downtown.

About the Downtown Vision & Action Plan
The Hanover Downtown Plan is a collaborative initiative that will guide future decision‑making, public investment, and development within downtown Hanover. Developed in partnership with the Downtown Improvement Area (DIA), the plan builds on existing strengths while identifying new opportunities to support economic vitality, enhance the pedestrian experience, and foster a vibrant and welcoming downtown for residents, visitors, and businesses. This partnership ensures that local business perspectives and community priorities are fully integrated throughout the planning process.
