COMMUNITY COMES TOGETHER TO FUNDRAISE FOR HANOVER SPLASH PAD
HANOVER, ON – The fundraising campaign for a community splash pad proposed in the Town of Hanover is off to a promising start, with $200,000 already raised towards the $300,000 goal.
For many years, residents have expressed a strong desire for a splash pad to be developed in Hanover. This vision is closer than ever to becoming a reality.
After completing an analysis of the available Hanover greenspaces, the splash pad will be located within Hanover Town Park. The addition of a splash pad to Hanover Town Park will not only enhance the functionality of the park, but also complement the existing park amenities including playgrounds, skatepark, pavilion, Saugeen River access, 9-hole disc golf course and more!
With an estimated project cost of approximately $640,000, the community's support in raising a minimum of $300,000 is crucial to move the project forward into the tender process. The goal is to reach or exceed the fundraising target by October 2024 to position the project for construction to begin in 2025.
The committee is calling upon the community and urging families, businesses and organizations to donate to help turn this vision into a reality. Every contribution, no matter the size, will make a significant impact on the success of the project.
"We are thrilled to see the overwhelming support from our community." said Marion Massaloup, Co-Chair of the fundraising committee. "However, we still need your help more than ever to raise the remaining funds.”
