NOTICE OF A PUBLIC MEETING
CONCERNING A PROPOSED OFFICIAL PLAN AMENDMENT
TAKE NOTICE that the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Hanover will hold a Public Meeting on:
MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 21, 2026 at 4 P.M.
in the Municipal Council Chambers located at 341 10th Street to consider a proposed Official Plan Amendment under Section 17 of the Planning Act, R.S.O. 1990, as amended.
The proposed Official Plan Amendment (LOPA#7) affects lands described as Part of Lot 4, Concession 2, North of the Durham Road and Part of Lot 5 judges Plan 55 and EXP, Parts 1 and 2 Plan GS100261, Parts 6 and 7, RP 16R 9565, Parts 1 to 3 RP 16R 10652 located at 341076 Grey Road 28 in the Town of Hanover in the County of Grey. Below is a key map showing the location of the proposed amendment.
The purpose of the Official Plan Amendment is to amend Section D7.4.11 of the Town of Hanover Official Plan to permit the development of industrial lands having a lot area of less than 8 hectares, where such development is justified to the satisfaction of the Town. The amendment is intended to provide policy support for the creation of a 2.4-hectare vacant industrial lot through Consent Application B3-26.
IF you wish to be notified of the adoption of the proposed Official Plan Amendment, you must make a written request to the Town of Hanover, 341 10th Street, Hanover, Ontario, N4N 1P5.
ANY INTERESTED PERSONS can submit written correspondence via email directly to vmcdonald@hanover.ca or mail your comments to Vicki McDonald, Clerk, Town of Hanover, 341 10th Street, Hanover, ON N4N 1P5 by noon on Wednesday, September 16, 2026.
ANY PERSON may attend the public meeting and/or make written or verbal representation either in support of or in opposition to the proposed Official Plan amendment.
IF a person or public body that files a notice of appeal of a decision of the Town of Hanover in respect of the proposed Official Plan Amendment does not make oral submissions at a public meeting or make written submissions to the Town of Hanover before the proposed Official Plan Amendment is adopted, the Local Planning Appeal Tribunal may dismiss all or part of the appeal.
