The Town of Hanover is pleased to announce the launch of the Well No. 1 and Well No. 2 Improvements Project, a major infrastructure initiative that will help ensure the continued reliability, sustainability and safety of the municipality's drinking water system.

The Province of Ontario is investing more than $9.5 million in water infrastructure improvements across Grey and Bruce Counties through the Municipal Housing Infrastructure Program – Health and Safety Water Stream. Through this program, the Town of Hanover has secured $1.75 million to improve two aging municipal wells that are essential components of the community's drinking water system.

Well No. 1 and Well No. 2 provide potable water to residents and businesses throughout Hanover. The planned improvements will support long-term system reliability and help ensure these critical assets continue to serve the community for years to come.

"The Town is committed to protecting Hanover's drinking water future through responsible infrastructure investment and ongoing public engagement," said Mayor Sue Paterson. "We appreciate the Province's support and look forward to keeping residents informed as the project progresses."

As part of the Town's commitment to transparency, project information has been posted online and regular updates will be provided throughout the duration of the project. Residents will also have opportunities to participate in a Public Information Centre and learn more about the work directly from project representatives.

Residents are encouraged to visit the project webpage and subscribe to Town notifications to receive project updates, notices and upcoming engagement opportunities.
