The Town of Hanover wants to hear from the community as we prepare the 2027 budget.
Each year, the Town must make important decisions about how to allocate resources across essential services. As costs change and community needs continue to evolve, public input plays an important role in helping Council make informed financial decisions. Your input will be reviewed and considered alongside community needs, Council direction, service levels and financial requirements.
Many residents may not realize that the Town of Hanover receives approximately 63 cents of every property tax dollar collected, with the remainder allocated to Grey County and local school boards. This makes it especially important to carefully plan how municipal funds are invested to best serve the community.
The budget questionnaire is one of several tools used by the Mayor, Council and Town staff during the budget planning process.
🗓️ The questionnaire is open until July 31.
Community members are encouraged to take a few minutes to participate and share their thoughts on what matters most to them.
