The popular Saugeen Culture Bus Tour is set to return on Saturday, Oct. 3, 2026, offering participants an unforgettable day of cultural discovery across the Township of Wellington North, Town of Minto and Town of Hanover.
Now in its third year, the Saugeen Culture Bus Tour has become a highly anticipated regional event that consistently sells out, attracting visitors eager to explore local history, arts, culture and innovation.
Tour groups will travel by bus and depart from either Palmerston, Kenilworth or Hanover at 10 a.m. sharp and return at approximately 4 p.m. This tour will take guests behind the scenes of some of the area's most unique destinations. A detailed itinerary will be shared with registered participants one week prior to the event.
Stops on this year's tour include:
- Lynes Blacksmith Shop, Kenilworth – Step back in time and experience a traditional blacksmith shop that preserves an important piece of local heritage.
- Misty Meadows, Conn – Discover this unique rural destination and learn more about its agricultural and community connections.
- Palmerston Railway Heritage Museum – Step back in time and explore the rich history of rail travel through guided museum tours and handcar and mini train rides. Relax to the sounds of local musician Ebbony Moroz. Top it all off with a delicious catered lunch from Dulce Heaven Café & Cones. This unique experience blends history, culture, music, and great food into one unforgettable stop.
- Bev Morgan Studio with Guest Artists, Hanover – Meet local artists, view their work and gain insight into the area's thriving creative community.
- Hanover Net-Zero Fire Station, Training Centre & Heritage Display – Tour one of the region's innovative municipal facilities while learning about Hanover's firefighting history.
Participants will enjoy a full day of food, drinks, activities and other surprise gifts, representing a value of over $100.
