At the inaugural Mayor’s Breakfast held on October 5th, Hanover unveiled its 2023 to 2027 and beyond Strategic Plan. About 80 business and resident representatives attended the breakfast and in addition to launching the recently approved Strategic Plan, Town staff shared information about Hanover’s Age-Friendly business initiative, building and by-law updates and economic development community profile data.
“Delivering exceptional services depends on spending our time, energy and money on the things that matter most to our residents”, stated Mayor Sue Paterson. “The input received from the citizen and staff questionnaires and the focus groups has shaped our 57 actions within our 5 goal statements. Our Council and staff team look forward to working together with our many community partners to realize progress on the Plan’s actions to make Hanover even better!”
Hanover Council approved the 2023 to 2027 Strategic Plan in August. The ‘Building Our Future Together’ Plan includes actions in the following goal areas:
Safe and Reliable Infrastructure;
- Healthy and Welcoming Community;
- Strong and Vibrant Economy;
- Balanced Growth; and
- Open and Responsible Government.
It is Hanover’s roadmap to achieve positive results and success, designed to guide decision-making and investments this term of Council, ensuring decisions made today set the course for the community’s desired future.
