Notice of a Public Meeting

CONCERNING A PROPOSED ZONING BY-LAW AMENDMENT

Take Notice that the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Hanover will hold a Public Meeting on:
MONDAY, OCTOBER 6, 2025, at 4:00 P.M.
in the Municipal Council Chambers located at 341 10th Street to consider a proposed zoning by-law amendment under Section 34 of the Planning Act, R.S.O. 1990, as amended.

The proposed zoning by-law amendment (Z3-25) would rezone lands described as Part of Lot 18, Plan 55, Part 2, Reference Plan 16R11878 and known as 866 8th Avenue North in the Town of Hanover, in the County of Grey. Below is a key map showing the location of the proposed amendment.

This Zoning By-law Amendment proposes the amendment of property zoning from R1-Residential & H-Hazard to R3-Residential & H-Hazard to allow for the development of a semi-detached dwelling on the property at 866 8th Avenue North.

Any interested person can submit written correspondence via email or mail directly to vmcdonald@hanover.ca or mail your comments to Vicki McDonald, Clerk, Town of Hanover, 341 10th Street, Hanover, ON, N4N 1P5 by noon on Monday, October 6, 2025.

If a person or public body does not make oral submissions at a public meeting or make written submissions to the Town of Hanover before the proposed zoning by-law is passed, the person or public body is not entitled to appeal the decision of the Town of Hanover to the Ontario Land Tribunal, unless, in the opinion of the Tribunal, there are reasonable grounds to do so.

If you wish to be notified of the decision of Town of Hanover Council on the proposed zoning by-law amendment, you must make a written request to the Clerk of the Town of Hanover 341 10th Street, Hanover, ON, N4N 1P5.
