The Town of Hanover will begin the removal of the old water tower located on 7th Avenue in early August 2026.
Following the completion of Hanover's new water tower, the existing structure has reached the end of its service life and is scheduled for safe decommissioning and removal. This work is part of the Town's commitment to maintaining reliable infrastructure and ensuring public safety.
The project is expected to take approximately 12 weeks to complete. Crews will carefully dismantle the structure in sections, with work occurring Monday through Friday between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m.

The Town anticipates minimal disruption and will maintain access to nearby homes, businesses, healthcare facilities and services throughout the project.
