I Remember When

I Remember When... Sharing Hanover's Stories

The Hanover Heritage Committee invites residents to take part in I Remember When..., a community storytelling initiative that celebrates Hanover's rich history through personal memories and lived experiences.

Participants are welcome to share stories about growing up in Hanover, memorable community events, local landmarks, businesses, neighbourhoods and the people who helped shape our town. Whether your memories are recent or from decades past, every story helps preserve Hanover's unique heritage for future generations.

Attendees can expect a welcoming and informal environment where they will have the opportunity to record their stories and contribute to Hanover's historical record. Visitors will also have the chance to explore the Hanover Archives, discover historical photographs and documents and learn more about the people, places and events that have shaped our community over the years.

Community members are encouraged to bring photographs, memorabilia or other items that may help tell their story.
