The Town of Hanover has two cooling centre options for citizens during the current heat wave. Hanover Civic Centre main lobby, Public Library and the P & H Centre main lobby are available during regular facility open hours.
Hanover Public Library and Civic Centre Hours are:
Monday to Thursday 10:00 am to 8:00 pm
Friday 10:00 am to 5:00 pm
Saturday 10:00 am to 4:00 pm
Hanover P & H Centre hours are:
July 3 to September 1, 2023
Monday and Friday | 6:00am - 7:00pm
Tuesday to Thursday | 6:00am - 9:00pm
Saturday | 8:30am - 12:30pm

Drinking plenty of cool water is key during this heat spell. Neighbours are encouraged to check on older adults in their neighbourhood. Also, a reminder that pets should not be left in unattended vehicles for any length of time during the heat.
