Invitation to Participate in Hanover’s Business Retention and Expansion (BR+E) Study
The Town of Hanover is pleased to invite our business community to participate in our 2025 Business Retention and Expansion (BR+E) study. This initiative is a key part of our ongoing commitment to support local businesses and foster a thriving economic environment.
What is a BR+E Study and Why It Matters
A BR+E study is a structured approach to understanding the needs, concerns, and opportunities of local businesses. Through confidential interviews and surveys, we gather insights that help us develop strategic action plans tailored to support business growth and address challenges. Once the survey results are compiled, we will use the findings to shape policies and programs that respond directly to what we hear from you.
Confidentiality is Our Priority
Your privacy is paramount. All responses will remain strictly confidential. Everyone involved in this project—including interviewers and advisory committee members—is committed to this principle. In the final community report, all data will be presented only as percentages or averages, ensuring that no individual business can be identified.

In addition, volunteers from our Economic, Tourism and Cultural Development Advisory Committee—Susan Sakal, Georgina Barlow, and Steve White—will also be reaching out to businesses directly to assist with interviews.
